Back in the 1980s The Surf Cowboys stunned their listeners with a spicy mix of original surf rock, country rock and tex-mex sounds. Virtually creating their own category and sound, The Surf Cowboys packed houses with originals such as “Shoulda Run Away,” “Let’s Surf” and “Sweet Señorita.”

Now these energetic and inspired tunes are available on CD, with The Surf Cowboys Collection (1984-1986) which captures the range of their unique, timeless sound on 15 exceptional tracks. Until now, they are all previously unreleased, with the exception of “The Final Showdown.”

All original, The Surf Cowboys songs capture the listener with a steady beat, inventive sound and flawless execution. The music asks tough questions with heartfelt ballads and encapsulates the ‘80s attitude in surf-infused, rockabilly-style tunes. Members of the band include Tim Otto, lead singer/songwriter and rhythm guitar; Chris Charles, bass guitar and harmonies, Greg Paul, lead guitar and harmonies; and Brad “the Beat” Pharis, Drums.
